I'm driving down the road in my car from JD BYRIDER about 7 months after purchasing and my car is literally jumping as I press on the gas. I pull over and call someone for help. The car is towed and I find out the next day that the transmission is blown. I am not very happy as the month before I just had to replace the battery and struts. I call JD Byrider because I was told that I had a warranty... they ask me how many miles are on my car and I tell them, they tell me I am over my mileage for my warranty by 600 miles so there is nothing they can help me with. I bring the car to someone who builds transmissions for a living who can help me for a lower cost then a dealership. I get a phone call from him the next day, he says the transmission blew because there had previously been something wrong with it and if someone had actually checked the car over like they were supposed to before they purchased it, that would have clearly been seen. I went through my paperwork and found the papers stating that the transmission was checked and there was nothing wrong with it. My fiance and I drove down to JD BYRIDER to speak to the mechanic, Nate, because he is the one that checked this over and checked it off. There were a few people in the office working and some people talking about purchasing a vehicle who heard everything.... Me: I have a paper document stating that the transmission was checked and was never touched and nothing was wrong with it but I have a person working on the transmission saying it has been tampered with and will give me the part to show you that something is and was seriously wrong. Nate: Well that is a load of crap-I will print the papers. I checked that car myself because it came from one of my friends and it was perfectly fine. I start reading out loud about the transmission information I had from JD BYRIDER stating that nothing was wrong with the transmission, it had never been tampered with, and had been fully checked....all of the sudden Nate the mechanic smacks my hand and tries to rip the paper out of my hand in which he finally succeeds...he rips the paper in half and says, "there-now nothing is on file!" Everything happened so fast...my fiance gets in the middle and tells him he had no right smack me or grab something out of my hand and the mechanic pushes him, my fiance (shouldnt have but did...) pushes him back against the wall and asks him what his problem is....everyone in the office is standing around watching--including potential buyers who are now walking out and thanking us.... we leave..... We got home and I called his manager immediately and left a message to call me back because he was out for the day. He called me back the next day and when I told him what happened he told me I was fuc*ing crazy and he hung up on me. At this point I was fuming and contacted the BBB. A corporate person called me from JD Byrider because they obviously got the report from BBB and I explain everything that happened. He said his workers would never act like that or do anything like that. I told him-WATCH THE CAMERAS!!!! He said, well there is no camera in there-I said, I saw 2 cameras. He then replies with, "well after I watch the camera I will just erase it!" I could not believe what was happening... I continue talking to him and I tell him it is ridiculous they can get away with this kind of behavior and I think I will contat a lawyer. The man says, "Go ahead you dumb b*tch" and hangs up on me...they are all in like a little gang and cover each others' tracks-it's sick! How can they get away with talking to me like this?!?!?!?!?!? Anyways, I now have a brand new transmission, new battery, new struts, new tires, new everything practically (paid for out of pocket, even though I was told all of these things were either in perfect condition or brand new..)! I have less then one year left to pay on the car (thank god!) and this nightmare is over...I guess this is partially my fault, I should have known better to not go to these people after everything I have heard with them screwing people over. Another sad part...things were going good for the first few months and I told my best friend about it...she bought a car from them shortly after I did and she has had 10 times as many mechanical problems as me...what I crappy deal! I would LOOOOVE to start a class action lawsuit on these people. Look how many comments and complaints there are! These people make billions and billions of dollars...ripping anyone and everyone off--it would be so nice to give it back to all the people they have screwed over even though it wouldn't fix their credit--it would be a start though. In the meantime, I will continue to tell friends and family about my expierence! If anyone knows anyone that can help with my situation (because I am going to sue them) please contact me!!! Any additional information helps!
