When you sign up the salesman will hide the contract from you. If you do see the contract it says there is a 60 day cancellation policy. He told me it was a month by month contract. He explained it to me when you cancel you finish that month, then you get an additional 30 days that you prepay for when you sign up, for a total of up to 60 days. What he was hiding was that if you cancel, you finish the month you are on, then they bill you again, before your prepaid month begins for up to 90 days total. I moved quickly in late november, tried to cancel over the phone. They would not let me cancel that way and said I had to do it through email. I moved with not even enough money to get the gas to make it to my final destination (1300 miles away), let alone have access to any internet to email my cancellation. I closed my bank account debit card since there were no branches within a 6 hour drive, and now I am being threatened by this company because they went to bill after I canceled and it didn't go through. Not even Time Warner or AT&T are this bad with customer service. I already am contacting all my friends back in Columbus to leave this gym since there are many other fine alternatives in Columbus without such poor reputations. My neighbor will cancel for sure, so their determination to get an additional $60 out of me will end up costing them hundreds of dollars in lost revenue and customers.
