I placed an order on 10th April and realised almost immediately that I was being billed for a total of £244 on my credit card, Still showing as a pending transaction.My credit card company have said they cannot dispute it until it appears on my statement, I rang the English Number on Monday - I think the call has probably cost between £50 - £60 .I did speak to someone and got a cancellation reference number.
I have since cancelled my credit card. I received 1 lot of the berry product plus the colon one yesterday and one more berry supplement today. I think I will end up losing the £244 and feel very angry and foolish. I am not a stupid person but feel like one now!

i just did the same, but a trial run, 2.95 GBP then saw your ad here, looked into it a bit further, phoned my credit card company and sure enough, instead of the 2.95 it was something like 129.00 GBP but still pending, ive opened up an investigation because im still within my 3 days cancellation period, i tried phoning, to no avail, i went into their customer service we site which is a waste of time, but done what form of cancellation i could there, so, its a standoff just now, but im getting it back, mark my words, i can afford it but i didnt order it, and i hate being ripped off. i got money back from egypt for a silver thing that wasnt silver, so im sure i can do this, at the least, their name and bussiness will be trashed right accross the world.

i am so fed up just checked my bank account and they have taken £127.34, i havent received my acai berries and cannot get an answer from any of the numbers i have rang from the website!!! when i eventually get through i have been advised by my bank to ring after 4pm, they are aware of their game as he gave me the number to ring!!! jaynie there are several numbers you can try the uk based no is: 0808 189 1269 try after 4pm. customer service number usa based is 866 415 5777 if you put in this code before hand it makes it half pence per minute 0843 375 0011, dont want to give them any more of our money!!! i cannot tell you how angry iam, will keep you informed of my progress!!

I sent off for the 'free tria of acail' and paid the £2.60 requested for handling last night. Luckily I bank with Santander and they notified me that this company had tried to take out £126.00 x 2. I tried to call the number on their add and it said that I was 19th in the queue - theiving load of b*****ds. I now have a cancelled debit card

I think that you will find that both the numbers ring through to the same place. Another cheap number to dial before the Us one is 0844 700 0000 then 001 866 415 5777 # when the first number is answered = 1p per minute

I have tried all different times to call but always seem to be number 19 on the US number and number 17 on the English one

I think that I will also send this scam to Watch Dog

This is the respone that I got from them today - I know that they wont get any money from me as I have cancelled my card. I have also contacted Watchdog & reported them to AOL for false advertising.

What you were seeing were authorization charges for past the three day trial for if you had wished to continue your full membership. This is a standard operating procedure. It is comparable to when you purchase something off of the shopping channel, even if you are making payments on a product, the full ammount gets authorized right away.

At this point there were no charges made to your account, and there will be no further charges.

i cannot believe these people can get away with this i have just found out after placing my order last night that 122 quid has gone out my account with out me knowing its disgusting i have sent an email thanks dorothy couldnt find it on the web site and have contacted the police this should not be allowed i feel sick i havnt got that sort of money why do they think we go for the free trial cant believe i have been so stupid

I have just been ripped of to the tune of £256.00. I should have known really. My family warned me that it would be a rip-off and I didn't take any notice! I just wanted to lose weight for my wedding- how stupid of me. I am so annoyed! How can I tell them?

I did same thing but bought both the acia reduce and the colon surge tablets and they have charged me £126 gdp for both. I phoned my credit card who put me through to their telephone number. They agreed to refund half back but I have no guarantee of this. They will not email me to confirm refund or cancellation so I just am watching and waiting . Apparently even if I cancel my credit card they can still take money because I somehow agreed to there terms and conditions which I cannot remember even being invited to see or read. I feel very angry and fustrated and not a bit stupid for falling for their 'impossible dream' I should know better.

Yes, exactly the same happened to us.
My wife ordered what she thought was a free trial of acai reduce and colon surge, and we just got our bank statement and the B****ds have taken 2 x £126.60 out.
I contacted the bank and after several calls to different departments I find there is nothing they can do about it and we can't get our money back. It's all because she agreed to the "terms and conditions" that she didn't read properly.
A quick look on Google under acai surge brings up loads of exactly the same problems of people being taken in by their sneaky wording.
And still they are getting away with it

I have been caught out big time too. It appears that by ticking the terms and conditions we are agreeing to a three day trial membership which isn't made clear and that it has to be cancelled during this three days - impossible to do if you are unaware of the actual membership and costs attached. First I knew about the extra costs were when I went online to my credit card statement and found they had taken x 2 £126.00 out of my account! I rang them on 08081891269 and appealed to their better nature but no joy - because I had accepted the terms and conditions and it was outwith the three day trial period, they were able to make these charges. It is an absolute scam and so misleading - I did get some refund but will end up losing about £150. I don't know how they can get away with this. Generally I am fairly switched on about things like this but have learned an extremely expensive leasson and feel an absolute twit into the bargain.

EXACTLY same happened to me... thought was one month trial at £2.95 for each product, £126 x 2 was taken from account. Got through to US call centre and spent while on phone with consultant arguing. She finally agreed to refund me half. I hope to have this back in my acocunt in 2-5 working days. Try calling the UK number 08 081891129 - if more and more people ring surely they will get message? I threatened them with further action as have business contacts in the US. But turns out the main company Novarista Holdings is based in the US.
I have also contacted Watchdog.
Are there any other consumer bodies we can contact??

I too have been taken in by this, what's more I did read the terms and conditions and did not tick the box for whatever extras they were offering; I too just wanted the free trial. (What one does to lose weight eh?!). Unfortunately I was on holiday when my card statement turned up with the £256.61 taken out instead of the £5.90 for which I had been invoiced. My credit card company said they would not refund it and could not stop further payments being taken which I find amazing 'as your credit card is a guaranteed form of payment', but they would monitor the account and claim a refund if it happens. What is the liklihood of them getting a refund?! I can't even find an address for the company or get hold of them on the phone.
I feel quite sick at the thought of all that money going to a scam, I would rather give it to Cancer Research or some worthy cause. What is it about the US that they can't stop this sort of fraud happening, or the UK for that matter. No wonder the crooks find it easier to work on line than go in through somebody's window to steal their goods. They can steal your whole life without leaving a room.
We all feel so bad about what we have done, so stupid, and they are relying on that so we won't go public. Did you see that Novarista Holdings were hosting a complaints forum? What a bloody nerve!
