I answered an ad on Tampa Bay Craigslist under Pinelles County Sublet/Temporary Rentals for a temporary rental utnil I located an apartment permanently. The following ad below seemed benign and the photos appeared relatively neutral and ok for what I needed. I was so wrong. As I write about it now, I laugh at the humorous, Floridian comedic aspect to the entire experience, but also am frustrated and angry that I lost abotu $90 to this rat trap and had to live on bare nothing for a week. I stayed in the slum for one week due to the fact that the manager Debby with a y and the so called Motorccyle bad boy with absolutely no business accumen refused to return the balance of my money so I could leave an find a cleaner Motel. The manager said the owner who was called something to evoke fear in the hearts of lesser people than my East Coast heart, "Sammy." This seemed to me funny as it reminded me of a mobster nickname. Well Sammy turned out to be a ratty motorcycle driving young guy with the attitude of a meth induced maniac. Nevertheless he was "not around." I heard from alot of people around that he was probably out spending the money anyway, therefore I stuck it out for a week huddled on one side of a nasty bed with sheets and pillows I had to buy. My cat costs $25 to stay and they charged me $25 app fee for what?? I had to clean the place with supplies for three hours after moving in. I did not know any other hotels as I was new in town and did not have money or a car and was exhausted. I was very tired and did not even really see this at first, thus it was my fault. Nevertheless I felt angry that this scummy place would take my money. So I left after a week and heard even more stories of the slum and the owner and called the news stations etc . Glad to be out.
