Super 8 Motel Poughkeepsie Urvi Patel Dirty, Disgusting, Smoke-filled, Party Motel Poughkeepsie, New York

I reserved the Super 8 motel from September 22-25, 2011 with my daughter to spend some time with her. The hotel was dirty and disgusting with rude guests and parties in the rooms. I asked the front desk to help me with the 2nd floor parties. There were a large group of people in the room directly above my room, with loud music, noise and smoke from marijuana. Several attempts to get help led to no resolution. I asked for them to call the police and they refused. They suggested that I leave instead. Even though there were limited options available 9:30pm Saturday night, I left so we could escape this unbearable situation. I asked for a full refund and it was refused. I followed up with my travel agency and received partial refund. I demand a full refund. I complained through the Super 8 corporate website. I receive an email that the General Manager would contact me in a week. This didn't happen. I followup again and received a call from corp telling me they were not responsible since the franchise was not owned by corporate. I suggested they dislist the motel and revoke the brand. All my engagements with this Super 8 were not satisfactory. I will not trust this motel or the corporate brand again. When illegal activity is supported in a motel it is not safe for the guests especially when families bring children. Super 8 is marketing to the party crowd but needs to adhere to local and national laws for safety and hospitality codes.
