On February 12, 2011 i encountered the madison park apartments, when i walked into the front door of the apartment complex i was thrilled by the customer service and the lobby attractions.I first encounter a nice friendly agents who help me very well and took the time out with me to help me pick my new apartment that iwas going to move in and showed me numerous of vacant apartments within the builiding, so i decide too go with an one bedroom spacious and had alot of bedroom closet space. So on February 19, 2011 went to put my move in fee deposit of $250 down and then on that follow saturday the 26 of February i paid my rent of $950 of my first rental payment and then move in on the 4th of March 2011 i moved into my apartment new remodeled so call unit 713. So upon moving in i noticed that they never changed the dirty flirty livingroom shade when you come in, then noticed inside the bathroom that the exhaust fan hadnt been cleaned then came back inside the bathroom a few minutes later and discovered a leak from the ceiling that smelled like piss and sewage. I immediately told on site property manager Thortone Murray of the problem and said that the issues will be fixed about the blinds in the livingroom and that the bathroom will be looked into, then i had another issue when u turned on the water in the bathtub flies and mosiquito began to appear when one was taking a shower or using the toliet. So after rearly two weeks of nothing bei backng down i went back downstairs to the office and told property manager Thortone Murray personally who said awwh my bad man i forgot to follow up on that and that he will getback to me which in this case nev backer did get back in contact with me so on other occassion i had problem continuosly with the blinds that were already up there when i moved into the apartment. The blind finally collaspe two weeks later and was replaced two weeks later due to the fact that were on some type of backorder for almost another 3 weeks after the wait i then went to Thortone again and ask him when hes my blinds and the problem in the backroom going to be fixed this time his reply was that he did tell tbhe on duty engineer there onsite that stays there to fix the problem and was told by him that he had been to my apartment and fixed the issues which was a lie from both Thortone Murray and the engineer. So I decide to take a different approach and talk to Thortone Murray and the engineer boss, so i called the main office talk to the rep. Explained my problem and the nature of call and asked whose the manager over Mr. Thortone Murray and the engineer the young lady explained that Pamela Andrus is the regional Manager over the Hyde Park Madison Park Apartments and over Thortone Murray, and explained that shes on vacation but i could leave her a voicemail and that she checks them on a regular bases, or use her email address that goes direcly to her company cellphone and that she will possibily return my call later on that same day. So two days by and the weekend and monday of the next week, so on tuesday March22,2011 i finall heard from Pamela Andrus i explained t wio Pamela my issues with the blinds and bathroom and was told she will get back to me when she knows more and when she returns from her fall vacation, So once again i didnt hear back from Pamela until almost the beginning of the month april explaining that the blinds had been damaged in shipping and when it reached the factory it was beyond repair and that a new blind would have to be order so finally on April 5,2011 on that tuesday the janitor was sent up to install my new indivdual shades which was told to me was going to be the same shad from before, so i didnt say anything was just glad they finally got it installed from waiting almost waiting a month. So i asked the engineer about the bathroom and spots on the wall that are starting to be visible from the shower and as you walk into the bathroom, if you was too look at the wall up close you will noticed that what ever paint or whatever they use it smerls the wall after cleaning and the paint begans to come off. So once again i reported the issue to Thortone after the engineer came up and ask him the same question do u see and smell sewage and the water thats building up behind the wall and Thortone replied yes i do and he also stated that the.toliet was put in correctly. So after thats said and done i phoned Pamela Andres to report the problem again then this time when i talked to her she had no clue who i was and told me that she will come personally herself and inspect the problem never heard or saw her face to face. So one morning me and my girl was leaving out heading to the hositpal, Mr. Murray ran up and said excuse me folks i got a loud music complaint yesterday stating that your apartment 713 was playing loud music and that the police was contacted and that they attempted to talk too me about the loud music which nobody nevered knocked on my door, to say anything and also was told the resident who knocked on my door as well said i didnt answer so i asked Thortone who resident was so i could apologize too them Thortone went on too say i cant give you that information my response to that was so how do you know its from me, i also expained to them prior to moving in telling them that i worked security an im on call 24/7 7days a week, so most of the time i wasnt home unless my girlfriend goes over too my place to check my mail and my apartment while i wasnt there. So Thortone then states to me that we all need to act mature and take it upon ourselves to go to another residents apartment if they are making too much noise or causing a disturbance( on which on many of times that i was home ppl were throwing parties in the hallway a resident on the opposite of me screaming at the top of his lungs inside his apartment). So i told Thortone Murray i dont give too shit about the ppl in here meaning im not going to anybody door to confront them about their guess or loud music, so once again i contacted Pamela Andrus to report this situation about Thortone approach and his attidudeb toward the situation which i let him know i was going to be talking to his boss Pamela Andrus about himb and his approach towards handling situations and complaints and how he comes off fronting a person in the lobby while other guess and residents are comining in and out the building after telling him i was going to call Thortone became very rude and disrespectful he saids why you calling her, like all alone he didnt know i was in contact with her in this very words here Mr.Murray says i run shit here im the boss she doesnt have any say i,n how he runs the businesss at 1380 East Hyde Park Bolvard Madison Park Apartments, so after that was said and done i just made up my mine and said enough is enough the follow week i was served with proof of cerifacate stating that they were there to fix my problem and also served with a 10 day noticed that Mr. Murray had stating i had unknown occupies staying in my aprtment and that i would have to fix the problem and if i dont i would be evicited from my apartment. So once again i asked Thortone who had the engineer up at my apartment at the time he was serving me papers, stating that they were here to correct the probblem, at that time engineer stormed his way into the bathroom saying its not wet here and told Thortone to come and check it out. So upon me hearing that i left Thortone outside and closed the door in his face, but Thortone took it upon himself and entered without me telling to comevin. So after all that was done and said the engineer then took the panel board from the inside the bathroom leaving a gap at the bottom, so as they were leaving i asked Thortone when is this going to be replace he said to me dont worry about we have access when we need i told him no you guys do not then Thortone says to me we going too come in anyway i told him and the engineer both if you guys come up without my permisson that i was personally going to kick both of there asses and then call the police for them on trespassing. Now on 24 of June i went too fine apartment as i knew that my days was numbered here at 1380 East Hyde Park Madison Park Apartments, so make a long story i began mybsearch for new place and luckily i did but when he ran my credit and ran a public record he stated to unfourtanely i cant rent to you cause you have an evitiction on your background from TLC Management for the month of June that saying i was evicited on my public record which TLC Management Thortone Murray or Pamela Andrus have done. This company isnt nothing but a sceme and get ppls money only five months into my lease there doing this to me putting me in runaround situations going to these different law firms for help and even lawyers stated too me.that they dont even know what they want or why im going to court if they are the ones refusing to accept the rent, this has just been devsitateing having to play childish games with them TLC Management Thortone Murray and Pamela Andres, to anybody in my situations please speak out cause these situations with them forcing residents out of buildings with no grounds or any evdience is ridicidlous and absurd, im kinded thinking its about my age and how i carry myself not like most other young folks. Im 24 yrs old and i believe everybody should be treated equally and not done anyway, but in this case TLC Management needs to get there act together and stop taking ppl money and lieing on situations and need too.replace Mr. Thortone Murray and his staff and that engineer drunk, drug addict engineer and replacing Pamela Andres cause truly to be honest she backs everything that goes on there no follow up from a complaint none of that so now there going for revenge on there Apartment back.cause they know there wrong. I strongly encourage ppl if there going too rent from them do ur background studies on them and alot of following up cause u will see if you dont.they will get you somehow somewhere no telling with these ppl and the way there running apartments and Madison Park Apartments in Chicago, Illinois Hyde Park Communities. BEWARE OF THE SCAM THESES PEOPLE RUN THEY WILL YOU.
