Wavee Misleading and Deceptive Practices Internet

I was charged $150 and received nothing. I have been told by their customer service dept that it is not their fault that I didn't understand how their site works. My wife and I were duped into spending $150 for "credits" used to bid on items. We both read everything Wavee had on their site explaining the process, yet we feel it is Wavee's intention for us not to know what we are doing. My wife and I both hold college degrees. I have taught high school math and science for 24 years and my wife is the director of an assisted living facility. If we couldn't understand how we were getting taken until it was too late, I doubt many people would. I spent 10 hours bidding against "bid bots" until I spent over $140 worth of "credits", only to lose out hours later and then be informed that my $140 was nonrefundable and gone forever. Yet I received absolutely nothing. I cannot believe that this type of deception is allowed to continue! I have read literally thousands of similar complaints on various message boards all over the internet. I am furious that I allowed myself to be scammed and asked them to just refund the money. They told me they could only give me a refund on my unused credits. That would amount to about $25 and I would still be out $125. Since I received absolutely nothing, I think it would be fair to receive a refund for all that was charged to my credit card and paypal accounts. Or at the least, they could allow the cost of the "credits" used while bidding to be applied toward the purchase of the item, which was our original belief. We were told that the cost of the "credits" used only counted toward the purchase price "when the little green light on the screen is on'. Apparently the light was never on and I was told that I was "just out the cost of the credits used". Please tell me this isn't true, that I received nothing but deception and frustation for my $150!
