WeHelp24/7
WeHelp24/7 Matt Roberts, Stephen King Took $5000 from my daughter who was trying to buy a house Jacksonville, Florida
12th of Sep, 2011 by User153183
About a year ago my daughter called me very excited because she had decided to purchase a home for the first time and was working with a 'Realtor'. I was apprehensive because she was only nineteen at the time, fresh out of high school, and making minimum wage. She assured me that this company helped in the home buying process for people with little or no credit and stated that Stephen King with WeHelp24/7 could get her into a home within a short period of time on a rent to own basis. Over the next 10 days she called me several times with progress reports, and said she had found a nice little house and paid $5000 non refundable deposit. This immediately raised my suspicions and I called WeHelp24/7 and spoke to Stephen King. I asked him if he was a Licensed Realtor and why did my daughter have to pay a $5000 deposit. He said he was not a Realtor and my daughter had paid the money and signed up on a Membership Agreement which I should read to understand the service being provided. To cut a long story short, on the day my daughter signed this agreement she was in emotional turmoil, after an unrelated domestic altercation she found herself homeless and naively thought that WeHelp24/7 was going to be her salvation. By the time I had contacted her it was too late to stop the check and of course when she asked for her money back she saw the other side of these smooth operators, who still advertise a 'Free' service and 'not for profit'. This company states it will help in the home owner process but basically just helped themselves to my daughters' savings. What Stephen King told my daughter was totally different to what was stated in the 'Membership Agreement'. Initially she was told that the $5000 would be used to replace appliances, then it was for fresh floor coverings, and at one stage she was told it would be used as a down payment. The house that she was hoping to buy was no longer available to her and finally she was told that she would have to rent for at least a year to establish credit. So what did WeHelp24/7 do for my daughter? Nothing except to state the obvious regarding building credit as they laughed all the way to the Bank. So much for Free service and Non Profit. Please check this company out through the Jacksonville Better Business Bureau. Last time I checked it had a 'C' rating, and remember: Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware
