I have purchased well over $1000.00 worth of parts to keep my old VW diesel running from this company. Recently, I needed a couple of parts and was given the choice of "newly remanufactured" or "used" and decided to go with the OEM used as the "new" part was a recent remanufacture that did not have the exact specs as the new one. I paid extra to have them overnighted as I depend on my vehicle for daily transportation.
The following day, I receive a call from the company informing me that they had not sent the order because after telling me they had plenty of used parts, they had since found out they had none. Now they wanted to know if I wanted the new part for an extra $20.00 and that since it was Friday, now I would not receive it until the following week as no overnight service was available for the weekend. I asked why they didn't call me when they found out they were out of stock to which I was told "we called but you didn't answer." To which I asked "why didn't you leave a message." To which I was told again, "you didn't answer."
At this point I told the nice guy to send the new one and overnight it. I hang up, call back for the owner to let him know of my experience and to let him know that for $20.00 difference, why not just ship the part because you can tell I'm a regular good customer because of the amount of business and dollars I've spent. The owner tells me: "I train my people to do business my way and we don't ship stuff with the customers approval." I answered:" I would of approved it if he would have just called and left a message." To which the owner says: "I've got a hundred problems a day." To which I replied:"Not anymore, you just lowered it to 99."
I'm not a complainer, but this is about the 3rd issue with these guys on technicalities after paying extra for overnight and then not getting the shipment for one reason or another.
I'm sure he's overworked and rolling in the dough, but with his level of customer service it won't be long till he's managed to get down to about 1 or 2 problems a day.
