Quality Move Co Avoid! Avoid! Worst moving co Internet
28th of Nov, 2011 by User995908
This company is the worst imaginable. Don't be fooled by the sales representatives George and Susan. They are the frontline sales persons. Past that, you step into a nightmare. The front office personnel customer service was engaging and promised me excellent service, and regular employees rather than day laborers. I questioned the negative reviews and they reassured me. So, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and hired them. Wrong move on my part. At one point when I told them the inventory needed change, they said not to worry, that the amount would be no more than a set amount. No more than a Flat fee. What a lie, None of this was true, we ended up paying much more even though they did the moving and packing and I paid for the extra steps in advance. At the time they came, the driver (mover) had me sign a number of documents waiiving my rights or else they would not proceed with the move. This was the case all throughout. I was told three workers and there were only two. One of which did mostly inventory and no packing. When he did pack, he packed my dishes next to a pressure cooker and broke a number of dishes. They also broke my coffee table, my futon, and a handle on the sofa, just to name a few items. I found the driver sleeping in my living room!! and when I called the company to complain they said it was ok, because he was tired. Later they told me it was going to be another $350 dollars just by eyeing the truck contents. Once in route, they knew I was coming from another state at a certain date but they wanted to deliver the contents before I was there, and kept calling me and demanding from me, for their mismanagement. Once at the destination, the driver started yelling at my husband, making the new neighbor come out to try to resolve the yelling. It was obvious that the driver only wanted to see how much more money he could get from us. Aside from that, the driver brought a day laborer he picked up at a corner. After many hours, the day laborer told my husband he was leaving and wanted his money, leaving only the truck driver to do the work. We were able to convince him to stay. By the time the move was done it was 2:00 am and the movers had broken my stair window, which cost me 210.00 to fix. they said they were not responsible forit because I signed a paper. They also did not deliver my PCU computer and I had to have it delivered for 55.00 dollars to my new residence. In addition, I handed over my recently purchased monitor ($129) to the mover and it never arrived but they said I signed saying we received everything. To make matters worse, the driver forged the final bill and took out the part about the broken window. I sent a complaint to the better business bureau and filed a claim with another company they used. After many months and lots of proof, all I got was $68 dollars. They deserve an F for sales tactics, misrepresentation, not taking care of my property, lies and theft. Do not use them!
